In February 2025, FEL Finland appointed a new Executive Committee (EC) tasked with establishing the programme framework and coordinating activities in alignment with members’ aspirations and expectations. The 2025 EC is chaired by Saana Takamäki (City of Helsinki), supported by Vice-Chair Pinja Syrjälä (Bergmann Attorneys). Other committee members include Anniina Kunnaton (Myrsky Energia), Niko Salonen (AFRY), and Hosna Khajeh (Elisa), Valtteri Hukkanen (Wapice) and Dario Nikzad (VaasaETT).
As its first initiative, the Executive Committee welcomed 15 enthusiastic new members, joining 17 continuing members, thereby forming a vibrant group of 32 committed participants representing broad expertise within the energy sector. Newly appointed Chairperson Saana Takamäki emphasizes the significance of cooperation and collaboration, saying: “With major challenges ahead driven by geopolitical tensions and the climate crisis, cross-sectoral collaboration is more urgent than ever in the energy sector. We are extremely delighted to see so much enthusiasm and interest toward this programme.”
Active member participation remains central to the success of FEL Finland, with members expected to organise events and actively engage in programme activities throughout the year. For 2025, FEL Finland is strategically enhancing its mentoring programme, emphasizing leadership skills development and cross-sectoral peer learning. The year promises exciting events, insightful discussions, and continued innovation as FEL Finland evolves and strengthens its role in empowering future energy leaders.
